The Verification Process for B2B Lists

Before Uploading

Handling Corporate Catch-All Domains

Corporate catch-all addresses are the most nuanced element of B2B verification. Here is the framework for handling them.

Step 1: Check Your Domain Reputation First

Your current domain reputation in Google Postmaster Tools determines how much catch-all risk you can absorb.

High reputation: you can include catch-all contacts from trusted sources in your sends with monitoring.

Medium reputation: exclude catch-all from campaigns until reputation recovers.

Low or recovering: exclude all catch-all.

Step 2: Segment Catch-All by Source

Catch-all contacts from your own CRM (contacts who have engaged with you previously) are far lower risk than catch-all contacts from external enrichment sources. Apply different handling to each.

Own CRM catch-all with engagement history: include in campaigns with individual monitoring.

External enrichment catch-all: treat conservatively. Test in small batches before full inclusion.

Step 3: Use Confidence Scores Where Available
